Ebay Sales How to make money on E-Bay

Ebay sales is probably the quickest way to make money on the Internet.  My wife and I did it full time for a couple of years and did very well.  We worked 5 days a week, about 4 or 5 hours a day, but we did miss days  :)  I won't say E-bay is more work than the other ways I am describing on this site on how to make money, but it is work.  Look me up.  greatbuysmyway  I have well over 800 feedback, no negatives and the feedback was built up in 2 years.  I really don't do ebay anymore.  I actually sold over 2,000 items on Ebay, not everyone left feedback.  I guarantee if they weren't satisfied, they would have left negative feedback. 

 

How to do E-Bay
The competition on E-Bay is fierce.  Selling an item on there is exactly like selling anything anything else on the Internet.  They have to find your site or on Ebay, your ad.  Think of your auction, title and description in search engine terms.  Look at my search engine link for tips.  Doing this, I could get 50% more money than other sellers selling the exact same product.  Amazing, but true.   Selling on E-Bay, I suggest, concentrating on what you know or are familiar with.  I did computers.  I did try venturing into antiques or collectibles, a greed thing, and yes I hit, some home runs.  I also lost some money.  However, buying a $20 item at an auction and selling it for $300 was to good to pass up.  I should mention, my business was built up enough that a couple hundred dollar loss, stunk. it didn't make or break me. Computers was what I knew and it was my bread and butter. Auctions were the source of my product.  Now you won't believe this, but buying is more important than selling. If you buy right, you will be able to sell and make money

Shipping was a pain and cost me money at 1st.  I invested in a scale and at the time was living in Indiana, so calculated shipping to California.  I then started buying boxes, peanuts and bubble wrap wholesale.  I clearly stated shipping cost in my auctions.  A flat rate.  Using the calculation to California, and adding cost of packaging materials, turned my business around.  No more time intensive shipping calculations.  Shipping was no longer a hassle, nor did I loose money.  Most sales, I actually made money on shipping.  My customers were happy to receive there product safely, in new packaging.  Surprisingly I lost no business and all the shipping hassles were gone..
