Create Your Website So, you got a domain name and a hosting company. Now you need to create a website. You could hire a web designer and it may not be a bad way to start. Depends upon your budget. There is a cheaper way, but some work for you and a learning curve. There are many free web creation programs out there and even more that have a reasonable cost. Do a search and you will find ton's of matches. You may see the term, WYSIWYG. What you see is what you get, is what it stands for. My personal favorite is Microsoft Front Page. It's what I am used to and have used for many years. Some of the older MS office programs included it. MS Office 2000 for example. Click on start-programs and look and see if maybe you have it. If you do have your site done for you, please note. You will want to update it, add to it, revise it, regularly.
How Can I Create A Great Looking Website My apologies, but I'm going to use Microsoft Front Page for all examples and info here. I'm sure if you don't have it you can find it, say on Ebay for a minimal cost. Now do a search at Google or yahoo for free front page templates. You will find hundreds of matches. Go thru them and find a FrontPage template you like. Save it to your computer and open it in FrontPage. Change the text or images to what you want and you have a nice professional looking website. Yes there will be a learning curve. The benefit is you need to update your pages regularly. This enables you to do it at no cost. Not to mention, you can ad pages, whenever you want at no extra cost. Now if your budget allows, their are tons of templates you can purchase. $60 seems to be a good average. I would go with the free template option to start with.
Using a template and Microsoft FrontPage is easier than you think. In the long run it will save you money. Gary Porter
